As an EPS your responsibilities will include BOM creation and engineering change / configuration management across multiple programs. You must be capable of operating in a fast-paced environment and able to deal with constant change. Duties include:

  • Understanding product structures, assemblies, and supplier base
  • Working with engineering, program management, and operations to understand the program schedule

Role

This position is located in Bangalore, India. Essential Responsibilities

  • Author Nexteer requirements within assigned domain, based on allocated requirements from customer requirements.
  • Responsible for requirement analysis and ensure availability of requirement specifications for all project stakeholders
  • Analyze customer, system, and safety requirements to help derive software architecture requirements.
  • Responsible for defining, creating and managing new software level requirements and deriving of performance, robustness & implied requirements
  • Participate in requirements compliance matrix (RCM) reviews, supporting allocation of requirements to assigned domain. Actively participate in peer reviews & clarifying open points
  • Derive requirements within assigned domain and allocate to lower areas of the Nexteer EPS requirements hierarchy.
  • Ensure maintenance, revision control, and communication of assigned Nexteer domain requirements based on Nexteer change control practices.
  • Support of requirements management process for functional owners, analysts, architects and project leaders
  • Tracking of completion of requirements analysis process and reporting of status to project management and maintain and report out on quality metrics.
  • Support in ensuring traceability among requirements and traceability to design documents, test plans and work tasks
  • Automation of requirement management tasks and report generation (using scripting tool like DXL, Java, Python)

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Engineering Degree in electronics / electrical / mechanical / computer science / Information Technology
  • 4+ years of automotive embedded software development. At least 2+ years of experience with management of technical requirements for complex mechatronic systems.

Must Have Qualifications

  • Broad Technical Background with general knowledge of 8-bit /16-bit/ 32-bit micro controllers, multi core architectures, Electrical motor, BLDC motor, pump, sensors, power pack technology, automotive system safety and environmental requirements
