- Work with product engineering to understand customer’s requirements and their implications for testing programs related to Power Electronic systems – EV, HEV, PHEV, Mild Hybrids. Develop test plans and test cases for eMobility products and systems to meet the customer requirements. - Select vehicles, subsystems, and components for benchmarking. Define scope and lead projects utilizing external engineering consulting companies. Collect, interpret, and distribute relevant information benchmarking data to global engineering teams. Maintain the eMobility database of electric vehicle and power electronics. Create benchmarking test plans and coordinate execution through internal and external resources. Consult on eMobility technology roadmaps. Track program deliverables to achieve time and budget requirements. Serve as a global contact for eMobility benchmarking information.
- Ability to Analyze and predict design performance using Simulation tools, Analytical Skills etc. Ensure Reliability growth plan, Root cause analysis, Design Robustness through application of DFSS Methodology identifying and meeting CTQ’s, Ability to generate subsystem and system level P Diagrams, FMEA. Should be able to work on digital Communication protocols like CAN, RS232, SPI, I2C etc.
- Drives & track OTD, CTQ maturity, FPY & QOS on key growth programs
- Should handle hardware system design including end to end product development involving complex analog & digital circuit design with 16/32 /64 bit microcontrollers based designs, development, launch support. Collaborate with mechanical, layout, and firmware engineers to successfully develop and validate the designs. Interface with Business Unit (BU) engineers to drive strong business cases for new commercial applications
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Engineering (Power Electronics, E&TC, Electronics, Instrumentation,)
- Extensive experience in hardware system design including end to end product development involving complex analog & digital circuit design along with Power Electronics development, verification& validation, qualification & certification testing, launch support.
