Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forming strategic partnerships, and expanding DIYguru’s market presence. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of the education and mobility sectors. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and establishing DIYguru as a leader in future mobility education.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify New Business Opportunities: Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities, trends, and emerging markets. Develop strategies to target new client segments, including educational institutions, corporations, and government bodies.
- Form Strategic Partnerships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including educational platforms, corporate clients, and industry associations. Negotiate and formalize partnerships that align with DIYguru’s growth strategy and educational goals.
- Develop and Implement Business Development Strategies: Create and execute business development plans to increase revenue, expand market reach, and enhance DIYguru’s brand visibility. Work closely with senior management to set strategic goals and objectives.
- Expand DIYguru’s Market Reach: Lead initiatives to expand DIYguru’s presence in existing and new markets. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to promote our courses, certifications, and training programs.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with marketing, sales, product development, and other teams to align business development activities with overall organizational goals. Provide insights and feedback to enhance product offerings and marketing strategies.
- Lead Proposal Development and Pitching: Prepare compelling proposals and presentations for potential partners and clients. Lead negotiations and pitches to secure new business deals and partnerships.
- Monitor Market Trends and Competitor Activities: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics. Use this information to inform business development strategies and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Build and Maintain Client Relationships: Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients and partners, ensuring ongoing communication and engagement. Act as the primary point of contact for business development inquiries and opportunities.
- Track and Report Performance Metrics: Monitor and evaluate the success of business development activities using key performance indicators (KPIs). Prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Represent DIYguru at Industry Events: Attend conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent DIYguru and build relationships with potential clients and partners. Promote our brand and expand our professional network.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the education, technology, or automotive sectors.
- Strong understanding of the education and mobility sectors, with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing partnerships and closing deals.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective business development strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in market research and competitor analysis.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
