Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all educational content and training materials meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our educational offerings, ensuring that they are both effective and reliable for our learners. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in quality assurance and a passion for education.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure Content Quality: Review and evaluate all educational content and training materials, including course materials, presentations, videos, and assessments, to ensure they meet DIYguru’s quality standards and align with industry best practices.
• Develop and Implement QA Processes: Create and maintain quality assurance processes and checklists to systematically evaluate the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of all educational materials.
• Conduct Regular Audits: Perform regular audits of content to identify areas for improvement, ensuring all materials are up-to-date, accurate, and free of errors. Provide feedback to content creators and instructors to facilitate continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Content Developers and Instructors: Work closely with curriculum developers, instructors, and subject matter experts to address any quality issues and ensure all content is pedagogically sound and aligns with learning objectives.
• Monitor Compliance with Standards: Ensure all content complies with internal quality standards as well as external accreditation requirements and industry standards. Verify that all educational materials meet regulatory and ethical guidelines.
• Test and Validate Online Learning Tools: Test online learning tools, platforms, and interactive elements to ensure they function properly and provide a seamless user experience for learners.
• Document QA Findings and Reports: Maintain detailed documentation of all QA processes, findings, and recommendations. Prepare reports for senior management on the status of content quality and areas for improvement.
• Train and Mentor Content Teams: Provide training and guidance to content creators and instructors on quality assurance best practices, helping them develop high-quality educational materials.
• Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in education technology, quality assurance, and instructional design. Apply new insights to enhance the quality of DIYguru’s educational offerings.
• Support Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the quality assurance function and implement changes that enhance content quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Education, Quality Management, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably within the education, e-learning, or training sectors.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement in educational content.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and quality enhancement.
• Familiarity with quality assurance methodologies and best practices, including experience with QA tools and software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide constructive feedback.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of instructional design principles and e-learning standards is a plus.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
