Mr. Avinash Singh’s Insights on Expanding Apprenticeship Models Across Key Sectors
Mr. Avinash Singh, Co-Founder & CEO of DIYguru, was invited as an esteemed guest & one of the key panelists for the FICCI event on the topic “Expanding Effective Apprenticeship Models Across Key Sectors”. Mr. Avinash highlighted the growing demand for skills in green energy and electric mobility , particularly in the EV segment, and stressed the need to tap into the same to create work opportunities for youth of India. He further emphasized the importance of having accessible training programs for marginalized groups through ITIs, and the industry-led effort to empower the future workforce of India with skills. He also underscored the need of training trainers to bridge the rural-urban gap.

The challenges and ground level issues specific to students at the ITI & diploma level must be a part of the key considerations while drafting and planning upcoming skill based training reforms. Targeting and implementing a unified learning framework (ULF) can be a potential solution where various training OEMs can play a consolidated role in delivering industry specific upskilling, quoted Mr. Avinash while sharing his views with the panel.
